Patrick M. Lasalle - Chief

Chief LaSalle is presently in his 40th year of his career in law enforcement which began in Patterson La. in 1973. He received his Post Certification with the Patterson Police Department in 1975 from Louisiana State University. In March of 1976 he completed his training with Louisiana State Police Academy and was assigned to St. Mary Parish Troop C. He served 17 years with La. State Police. While working with State Police LaSalle as a Narcotics Investigator he served as coordinator between State, Federal, Parish and local agencies in narcotics investigations. Solicited by the City of Patterson for revamping of the Police Department he returned in 1993. Chief LaSalle was quoted as saying "my coffee cup was exactly where I'd left it in 76". From a two-man department operating out of a city barn, to its present Twenty-man department in a state of the art multimillion complex, Patterson Police Department has arrived. Chief LaSalle has been successful in his elections and is now serving his fifth term. The Chief also serves as an unofficial lobbyist for the City of Patterson and stays active in all political endeavors. Chief LaSalle served on the La. State Police Commission, presently serves on the Post Council, is a member of La Chief of Police, IACP, Magnolia Peace Officers, CSTC, and too many others to list law enforcement organizations.
