Chief Garrett Grogan reports that the Patterson Police Department responded to 10 calls for service over the last 24 hours and made the following arrest: 

Desmond Richard, 44, Patterson, La, was arrested on April 22, 2026, at 2:27pm, on the charges on simple burglary-attempted, resisting an officer or arrest, and on a warrant for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for contempt. Richard is additionally being held on a warrant for the Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear on the charges of theft and driver's license not in possession. Bail has not been set at this time. 

Shailon Favors, 32, Patterson, La, was arrested on April 22, 2026, at 11:22pm, on a Patterson Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the charge of stop sign violation. Favors is currently held on a $585.00 bond.

Jessica Smith, 39, Napoleonville, La, was arrested on April 23, 2026, at 1:17am, on the charges of failure to signal and no driver's license. Smith was released to appear in Mayor's Court.
